Tony Stark, the brilliant head of high-tech weapons manufacturer Stark Industries, is the man behind the helmet in 2008's action-packed film Iron Man. Captured by America's enemies during a war zone excursion, Stark is forced by his captors to design and build weaponry to defeat U.S. forces. His patriotism and a strong survival instinct compel him instead to secretly develop a suit of powered body armor. After escaping back to the States, he uses this nearly indestructible metal exoskeleton to fight crime as the high-flying superhero Iron Man.  |
