Sandcrawler

Manned by scavenging Jawa clans, massive sandcrawlers traverse the desert wastelands of Tatooine in search of scrap metal and the wreckage of abandoned spaceships. Timeworn and weathered by innumerable sandstorms, these monstrosities from a bygone mining era house ore and metal processors, droid prisons, and untold stores of salvaged junk. Most important, they offer the Jawas protection from the savagery of the nomadic Sand People and the scorching heat of the planet's twin suns.
