Calling The Caped Crusader

Glowing high above the Gotham City skyline, the Bat-Signal once again summons Batman to his fight against crime. Unique among superheroes, Batman (the alias of billionaire Bruce Wayne) needs no superhuman abilities. He relies instead on his extraordinary strength, intelligence, and fantastic gadgets to foil Gotham's notorious criminals. The brace Caped Crusader made his first appearance in the May 1939 edition of DETECTIVE COMICS #27.
